raya 2008

this raya was different than last year;
1. kemunculan newcomer-adik ipar ku tiey
2. fatin missing in action for she has to stay in kuching for some unfinished business..we all love u fatin!
3. we went beraya to both sides of our parents' family.
4. and of course dgn ketiadaan papa and mama..but it's okay
5. oh yea..tido umah embah mlm raya tu..
we did enjoyed ourselves and i was doubly glad that my siblings and i dapat balik kampung mama..ilang sket rindu pada mama. and truly proud of taj for his effort.
nonetheless sedih juge di hati mamapapa tak dapat rasa kemeriahan seperti di sini..it's a custom for the arabs to semayang raya, but that's just it..no baju baru, kunjung-mengunjungi, takbir berkumandang tak spt di sini..seolah2 mcm hari besa..sesayu hati kita..sayu lagi hati mama merindukan anak2nya.. 
i hope to see them there some day..with my lil bros and sis, cause they missed them the most..insyaAllah.

this is my first conference that i participated and present a paper. in the earlier years i would always follow my dad in his seminars and listening to his talks. he would also always introduce me to his colleagues while cracking jokes to us. so it was a exhilarating experience when he and mama came to see my presentation for the first time. how nervous i was standing in front of a crowd not wanting to embarass papa. among the audience are mostly papa's students and some from gov agencies and entrepreneurs.
i would love to show u pics of karim rashid, a reknown designer so famous thruout the world. his talk were based on his experience while showing slides of his worldwide products. his watch was surprising pink, and his attire and shoes are certainly out of the ordinary. he is definitely trying to portray not to be afraid to express yourself and never to limit ur creativity to anyone else.
My presentation turned out well and I was glad i manage to convey the issue at hand. however, i was quite dissapointed PUB director did not show up for i was hoping i could get his views and critiques to improve my thesis. 
it was a good day!
